Michele Clayton, owner of The Hair Exchange, opened this hair salon in the village of Blunham in 2011.

This lovely building, in the heart of Blunham, was once the old telephone exchange.

Now beautifully restored we can now offer more appointments and open 5 days a week.

We are an appointment only salon offering the highest quality salon services at affordable prices.

We guarantee 100% dedication to our clients hair in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

With up-to-date training in our industry we provide our customers with an amazing service every time.

About Us

I've been hairdressing since leaving school many moons ago!
I started my career with Lesly Elliott, a great mentor.
I love my job and being part of a busy team and have a passion for creating great hair and excellent customer service.
My favourite tipple is Jameson's and I've always got a book on the go.
I love to travel and one of my favourite places is Vietnam.
I've been with my husband since I was 16 and we have 2 boys
If I had to change career I would love to work in palliative care.

I joined The Hair Exchange in March 2020 as a Senior Stylist.
I have over 13 years experience and I am a Master Colourist and Assessor.
I love being part of the busy team in the salon.
I enjoy being creative with colour.
I love exploring new countries.
I would say I like taking my dog for a walk but it's actually the dog that takes me for walks!
I enjoy going out for dinner and spontaneous trips.

I joined The Hair Exchange in September 2022.
I have been working as a hairstylist for over 14 years.
I love all things hair but my favourite thing is blond and a beautiful blow dry.
I love being a Mum to my two girls and enjoy our camping and caravan holidays with our dog Bosco.

I joined The Hair Exchange in July 2024.
I have 10 years experience in barbering.
I love that not every haircut is the same.
I enjoy family days out and picnics.
I love being a Mummy to my two children. The joys of having a girl and a boy is that one day you could be playing princesses or unicorns and the next you're Spiderman or being a dinosaur!
